Alaska Republican State Convention this weekend
Once again, I’d like to thank everyone for all the hard work they have done over this last year for Dr. Paul.
The Alaska Republican State Convention is this weekend, and it should be a great opportunity for all the Ron Paul supporters from across this great state to have a chance to meet each other and work together to bring Liberty to the forefront of the Republican Party.
If you are a delegate to the Alaska Republican State Convention who supports Ron Paul and I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with you yet, please give me call at 321-412-4018.
If you are an alternate; this is going to be a very close convention, there will be several votes where one person will make the difference. We definitely need every well-informed and freedom loving voter that we can get. Contact your District Chairman to see if any seats have become available in your District.
I hear that the grass roots supporters are planning having a big sign waving event in downtown Anchorage in front of the Captain Cook at noon on Saturday, March 15th to help encourage and support all of our hardworking and patriotic Ron Paul delegates.
I expect great things from the Last Frontier, and the people of Alaska haven’t disappointed me yet.
Thank you all once again,
Stephen Farrington

Many people have even risen to the occasion and have become delegates or alternates to the 2008 Alaska Republican State Convention.
I look forward to meeting you all in Anchorage this upcoming March at the state convention, and I think you will all enjoy getting a chance to meet each other.
If you have been nominated by your district as a delegate or alternate, and you would like more information, please give me a call.

In the GOP, Paul is Banking on Alaska’s Maverick Spirit
Sean Cockerham of the Anchorage Daily News wrote about the Ron Paul campaign in Alaska today:
“Paul is the one Republican to open a campaign office here — and he has two, one in Anchorage and one in Fairbanks. He has 12 paid staffers in the state. Paul commercials are running on Alaska radio and TV.”

Paul Prepares for Alaska Primary
Chris Freiberg of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner has another article on Dr. Paul today:
“Paul says Alaska, often viewed as a Republican state with strong libertarian tendencies, is one of the most important states in his campaign.
He praised Alaskans’ support of the Constitution, especially Second Amendment rights, and expressed regret that he has not been able to personally campaign in the state.
“It’s a shame that you can’t get in and out of there very easily,” he said.
A win here could bring Paul’s campaign the recognition he says has eluded him even after second-place finishes in the Louisiana and Nevada caucuses. “
Ron Paul, “Homeschooler’s Best Friend,” Appeals to Alaskan Homeschoolers
ANCHORAGE, ALASKA—Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is known as the “Homeschoolers’ Best Friend” for his unparalleled commitment to protecting home schooling as a practical alternative for American families.
The ten-term Texas congressman stated in the introduction to his Family Education Freedom Act, “Parental control of child rearing, especially education, is one of the bulwarks of liberty. No nation can remain free when the state has greater influence over the knowledge and values transmitted to children than the family.”
“As a lifelong Alaskan who has been homeschooled since first grade on, I urge you to consider supporting a man who takes seriously the fact that government should not interfere with what parents and parents alone can do best; raise their children,” said Alaska Homeschoolers for Paul state coordinator, Tait Zimmerman. “Dr. Paul has strong grassroots support among homeschoolers and home educators in Alaska, and all parents concerned about their freedom to educate their own children should vote for this leading advocate of homeschooling, Ron Paul, on February 5.”
Congressman Ron Paul:·
-Authored Family Education Freedom Act, allowing parents a tax credit of up to ,000 per student per year to offset costs of education.
-Will guarantee parity for home school diplomas and advancement of equal scholarship consideration for home schooled high school graduates.
-Will prevent the Department of Education from regulating home school activities.
-Will veto any legislation that creates national standards or national testing for home school parents or students.
