Arizona: Take Action!
We only have one chance to get Ron Paul elected, and it can't be done unless you, all of his great supporters everywhere, stand up and make a difference.
UPDATED: What can you do for Ron Paul?
The two most important things YOU can do to help Dr. Paul secure an Arizona win is:
Canvas/Call your neighborhood -
- Help call every registered Republican in Arizona, starting with your neighborhood, asking for their vote for Dr. Paul.
- To volunteer with calling, send an email to walking_list_az@ronpaul2008.com with your name, legislative district and precinct (how to find this information is below) and we will email you a list in return.
- Help call every voter who receives an early ballot (called ballot chasing).
- To volunteer with ballot chasing, send an email to walking_list_az@ronpaul2008.com with the amount of time and fixed schedule you are available to call. Ideally, we need to know exactely what days and how much time on that day, you are available to call so we can email your list in a timely fashion. Alternatively, you may call on daily basis as your schedule permits requesting a list, though this is much less effecient.
Join a sign hanging party -
- We need your help getting the Ron Paul for President signs up around the state. If you would like to help install signs, please send an email to andre@ronpaul2008.com.
Paulunteers, YOU wanted a grassroots campaign, you got one. It is time for every supporter to step up and do their part to help secure an Arizona win. This win is achievable!
There are slightly more than 1 million registered Republicans in Arizona. If 1000 supporters volutneered to make 1000 calls over the next 30 days, that's only 33 calls per day, and you can make 30 calls an hour; so if 1000 supporters volunteer ONE HOUR PER DAY for 30 days, we could personally CALL EVERY REPUBLICAN IN THE STATE AND ASK FOR THEIR VOTE!!!
We are leaving the rest of the orignal page available here as well as we still need all supporters to become Precinct Committemen and to continue fundraising.
What can you do for Ron Paul?
- Register as a Republican
- Gather all the family, friends and neighbors and make sure they are registered as Republicans
- Become a Republican Party Precinct Committeeman
- Canvass your neighborhood by foot and by phone —Get out the vote for Ron Paul!
As Arizona's Feb 5th Presidential Preference Election is a "closed" election, only registered Republicans are eligible to vote for Dr. Paul in this election. The deadline to register is Jan 7th, but don't wait. Do it now, online. Also, if you are currently registered, you should verify your Arizona Voter Registration Status.
All supporters should confirm their status!
Have you registered/re-registered since you last moved? You need to
register each time you move, even if it is across the street or to the
apartment next door.

Become a Precinct Committeeman
Voting on Feb 5th alone will not secure the Republican Party nomination for Dr. Paul however. It is imperative that all supporters become a GOP Precinct Committeeman (PC); both to elect Dr. Paul and for the good of our party.
What is a Precinct Committeeman? PC's are the Republican Party and are the grassroots members that determine what the party stands for. PC's have direct influence over Party Platform, policies, and selection of candidates. At state, district, county, and township caucuses and conventions, the Precinct Committeeman is an active player. PC's can have a tremendous influence on the adoption of the Party Platform and policies, support of or opposition to issues, and selection of candidates. Learn more about the role and duties of a PC .
To become a PC, contact your GOP Legislative District (LD) Chairman and/or your GOP County Chairman.
If you live in the counties of Maricopa or Pima, start by contacting your LD Chair.
For Maricopa County, find your Legislative District, complete this form, then contact your LD Chair; find your LD Chair here . For more information on Maricopa Co LDs, visit your district website (not all LDs have their own website). And attend your LD's monthly meeting; schedule here. (Maricopa Co).
For Pima County, find your Legislative District here. And find your LD Chair and meeting schedule here.
For all other counties, you can find your County website and Chair contact information, and meeting schedule at these links.
Your GOP County Chair, and your GOP LD Chair (if applicable), will have to sign off on your appointment form, and will then forward the form to your County Board of Supervisors for ratification. Also, you should forward a copy of your PC Appointment Form to the AZ GOP headquarters by fax: 602-224-0932 and/or email: info@azgop.org, as well as a copy to Andre Campos by fax: 509.352.6247 and/or email: Andre@RonPaul2008.com.
It is vitally important that all supporters complete the PC appointment process immediately.
Canvassing & GOTV (Get Out the Vote)
While knocking on doors may not always be everyone's favorite job, nothing else is more effective in getting out the vote. Contact Andre Campos at Walking_List_AZ@RonPaul2008.com to get a walking list/call list for your area, then meet up with other Ron Paul supporters, and hit the streets! Phone calls are another option should weather, health, daylight or distance between houses hinder canvassing door-to-door, and phone bank calling parties are being arranged to help get this vital job done. Both tasks are more fun and less daunting when done with others.
Fundraising
The Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign will also need your monetary contributions as the campaign intensifies its efforts across the nation. Anything you can spare this holiday season will be put to good use!
If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser or a Ron Paul "open house", please contact Andre Campos.
Join a Ron Paul Meetup Group
In this drive to Super Duper Tuesday (Feb 5th) in addition to our supporters at RonPaul2008, we will be relying heavily on the manpower, enthusiasm and organizational skills of our local Ron Paul Meet-Up groups. So, if haven't done so already, now is a great time to join up and get coordinated with other Ron Paul supporters. Joining is free and easy. The Meet-Up groups will also assist in keeping you informed of what needs to be done in your area to get Ron Paul elected.
If you have any questions, or need any assistance on the above material, please do not hesitate to contact Andre Campos: 602.677.2014. We realize that some of this information may be new or daunting to some, so please do not hesitate to call should you have any questions on how to get involved.
On behalf of Karen Johnson and Roy Miller, our Arizona Co-Chairs, and the rest of your Ron Paul 2008 volunteers and staff here in Arizona, I would like to thank you for your support thus far.
Now let's get out there and do our best to save this country by electing Ron Paul.
Yours In Freedom,
Andre Campos
