Campaign for President of the United States

Become a Delegate for Ron Paul

Our Florida campaign has gotten off to a great start. Many people have worked hard and have contributed their time, talent, and treasure toward our goal of restoring freedom, peace, and prosperity to America. On primary day over 60,000 people took a stand and voted for Ron Paul despite the largest media blackout this country has ever seen.

January 29 was merely the first skirmish! If you have been listening to the mainstream media you might get the impression that our Florida campaign is over, that the delegates have all been awarded, and that it's time to move on to the next state. But this is simply not true!

No national delegates have yet been selected in Florida. Delegates and Alternates at the Congressional District level will be chosen between February 6 and April 30 at the delegate selection caucuses. At-Large delegates and alternates will be chosen between February 6 and May 31 at a Republican Party of Florida Executive Board meeting.

We are headed towards a brokered convention. Instead of a coronation of one of the establishment candidates, the delegates will get to decide. This is why it is so important to become a delegate for Ron Paul. You may pre-register at http://www.rpof.org/rnc.php . Our Florida campaign is growing stronger every day. Delegate selection will be our next battle.

The dictionary defines a campaign as a series of organized actions in support of a cause. Our cause is a return to freedom, prosperity, and the rule of law under our Constitution. Our action is to position delegates so that we can meet our objective and win the Republican nomination for Ron Paul. Are you ready?

Update on Delegate Selection

“We want to win as many delegates to the Republican National Convention as possible…”—– Ron Paul 1/28/08

In Florida no national delegates have yet been selected, but my friends, our time is now. The Republican Party of Florida has posted the 3 step procedure to become a delegate or alternate delegate to the Republican National Convention. There are 222 positions available.

The delegate selection process is very important because ultimately the delegates will get to vote for the Republican Party nominee. They also get to vote on the rules, procedures, and the Party Platform. We need to have as many delegates as possible to support Ron’s message of freedom, peace, and prosperity.

If you are interested in becoming a delegate and a leader in our movement, go to Grassroots Central and sign up. You will be kept updated and informed every step of the way.

The first step is to download and fill out the delegate application and the loyalty oath. They can be obtained by going to http://www.rpof.org/rnc.php .

The second step is to mail or deliver your completed application and loyalty oath to the Republican Party of Florida at 420 E Jefferson Street, Tallahassee, FL, 32301. The deadline for filing applications and loyalty oaths is noon on March 7, 2008. No applications will be accepted after noon on March 7 regardless of postmarks or time stamps.

The third step is to identify your Congressional District and attend your Congressional District Caucus Meeting. You do not have to pay any money with your application. Any fees would be due about 60 days after you are selected.

The delegate application and the loyalty oath along with the procedure and caucus locations can be found at http://www.rpof.org/rnc.php .

As you complete and turn in your application, please email or fax me a copy as soon as possible. This will prevent any duplication of effort. It will also ensure that you receive all pertinent information about what to expect in your Congressional Caucus Meeting, how the voting will be handled, who gets to vote, etc. Remember to register at Grassroots Central so that I will be able to keep you updated and informed.

Thank you very much for all your hard work for Ron Paul. I will see you at the Republican National Convention.
