Missouri Republicans Disenfranchised at District Conventions

posted on 04/20/2008 at 12:31 pm EDT

We have received reports that voters in at least 3 of Missouri’s Republican District Conventions were disenfranchised at their Conventions April 19, 2008.   It was discovered that many voters received unfair challenges to their credentials as late as Friday, April 18, the day before the Convention.  The Agenda for the Convention, after having been posted on the Missouri GOP website for months, was changed just prior to the Convention in what appears to be a concerted effort to disenfranchise voters.

One such incident has been reported in the news as of this posting:  http://stlplatform.org/content/view/234/122/

Delegates who are not necessarily Ron Paul supporters have also voiced concerns that they, too, were disenfranchised due to the manner in which the Conventions were conducted.  It is my understanding that video, audio, written records and eye witness testimony are being collected at this time.

The Challenge of Challenging Missouri’s Caucus Results

posted on 03/24/2008 at 1:04 pm EDT

As most of you know, Jared Craighead of the Missouri GOP refused Ron Paul Campaign Headquarters entry to their offices in order to verify the March 15 Republican caucus results.  The Campaign was told to contact each County Chairman to view results; the Missouri GOP then removed from its website the names and contact information of all GOP Committee members, making it impossible to reach them.

The Chairman of the Missouri GOP advised the Campaign that it would not provide access to information or an extension to file a challenge in those caucuses where the GOP’s own Rules were blatantly broken.  Republicans now realize that their vote for President of the United States is at serious risk.  The Missouri Primary is a straw poll of Missouri voters, a “preferential primary”.  Delegates are elected to represent those voters.  This process is managed by the Rules of the Missouri Republican Party.

If Delegates cannot protect their rights and the rights of the individuals they represent, then the message from the GOP is clear - Republican voters do not have the power to make decisions through voting, but rather only those who control the GOP have the power to choose our next President.

COUNTY CAUCUS LOCATIONS - MARCH 15

posted on 02/18/2008 at 3:56 pm EST

Update:  Some County Chairmen have not listed their locations - Contact the County Chairman if the location/time is not provided - KEEP CONTACTING THEM UNTIL THEY PROVIDE THE INFORMATION.

The Missouri Republican Party has listed the locations/times for several counties.  CAUTION:  These locations/times are subject to change, so check back frequently.  In addition, the “Time” listed indicates the time the DOORS WILL CLOSE; plan to be at the caucus location at least one hour early (earlier for large counties) to ensure Ron Paul delegates are not locked out due to “capacity issues”.

Our Revolution Needs You To Attend Your County Caucuses on Mar. 15

posted on 02/15/2008 at 1:09 pm EST

The mass media and the Republican establishment can black out and ridicule our spokesman, but they can’t stop our message unless we choose to walk away from the Ron Paul Movement. Right now, the most effective way we can hold up a banner for Ron Paul is to continue to contact voters in our precincts and recruit as many people as possible to attend the Missouri Republican County Caucuses on March 15.

As stated by Ron Paul himself, there are many reasons to keep moving forward.
While it seems unlikely that there will be a brokered convention, there are too many factors in play to say that the outcome is decided. Neither McCain nor Huckabee have the ability to unify the Republican Party. There are many sources of discontentment in the Republican Party that provide infinite possibilities for helping Dr. Paul gain Conservative credibility and momentum at the Republican National Convention through an unexpected revolt.

We also cannot procure change in this system if we don’t show up en masse at every at level of the Missouri Republican Party Caucus process. We cannot let the establishment go unchallenged. Yet we should not think of the caucus process as “us against them,” but “we are them.” We are a legitimate voice in the Republican Party and must use every avenue available to spread Ron Paul’s message.

Missourians must show up in force on Saturday, March 15 to ensure that our voices are heard.

Calling All Precinct Leaders, County Coordinators and District Coordinators!

There were 26,427 votes for Ron Paul in Missouri, over TEN TIMES the 2,137 delegates we can elect for the entire state of Missouri to go to the next step!  Headquarters has a list of 7,000 names, but there are nearly 20,000 Ron Paul supporters we don’t know about! Continue to call your precinct voters and recruit them to become Ron Paul delegates or ask them to vote for our delegates on March 15, become EXPERTS on the delegate process, train our supporters - we can easily take over the County Caucuses with so many Ron Paul supporters.  Ron Paul is counting on everyone of us to continue his resounding message.  NOW is the time!
