Campaign for President of the United States

HomeStatesSouth Carolina

Welcome to the South Carolina State Headquarters

South Carolina is absolutely vital to Dr. Paul achieving the Republican nomination; since 1980, every winner of the South Carolina primary has gone on to receive the Republican nomination.

The tremendous crowds generated from Dr. Paul's visit in the beginning of November is testament to how powerful and popular our message already is in South Carolina, but there is far more work to be done.

All three offices are currently open and always in need of volunteers to help us spread our message of freedom and liberty. Contact your nearest office about volunteer activities and upcoming events so we can ensure a South Carolina victory for Dr. Paul!

Election Day Workers

Thanks to all of you who have signed up on the Voters website or have emailed us about helping with tomorrow’s activities.

Just to clear up any confusion, the technical term for those of you helping is not “poll watcher,” but instead “candidate representative.” A “poll watcher” must have a signed letter and wear a badge. A “candidate representative” does not have to have one.

Those of you who have signed up will be emailed a list tonight of Ron Paul supporters in your county. As a “candidate representative” all you have to do is print the list, show up at the precinct tomorrow morning and tell them that you are a “candidate representative” and that you would like to look at the voter books. You will then take your list, go down the rolls and highlight the voters the Ron Paul campaign has identified as supporters. You can then leave, go do whatever you need to do, and call the voters that you highlighted and remind them to vote. After a few hours you can then go back to the polling location, check the rolls again, black out the ones that have already voted, and then call the ones that haven’t and remind them again.

Remember, you are not a “poll watcher,” but a “candidate representative.” If the Chairman tells you that you need to have a badge and a signed letter, just refer them to page 28 of the “poll watcher” handbook. Page 28 states that the voter registration rolls are public property and that anyone is allowed to go in and see them. We have verified this with the election commission.

Those of you who have signed up will be emailed more information tonight when you get your list, but I just wanted to go ahead and clear up any confusion between “poll watchers” and “candidate representatives.”

Those of you who have not signed up, but would like to do so, please email your name, address, phone number, county and precinct to summer@ronpaul2008.com . This will only take about 3-4 hours of your time tomorrow and we need all the help we can get.

Remember, if you or anyone else needs a ride to the poll, just call one of our offices and we’ll have someone come and get you.

January 17th~

227 years ago on this date, Daniel Morgan and his fellow American patriots triumphed in one of the greatest victories of the Revolutionary War; the Battle of Cowpens was a major turning point and ensured liberty, peace, and freedom from tyrannical rule for all of South Carolina.

Similarly to the Battle of Cowpens, South Carolina will once again emerge as the turning point of the revolution.  However, in order to ensure personal liberties for generations to come as our forefathers so valiantly fought for, we need you help.  Please send us names and phone numbers of every one you know that supports Dr. Paul in South Carolina.  In addition, ask everyone you know and can get in touch with if they support Dr. Paul; pick up a phone book, canvass your neighborhood, go to your local grocery, whatever it takes.  If they say yes, jot down their information, and if they say no, thank them and move on.

Also, if you could come into the Greenville, Columbia or Charleston office to help out it would be greatly appreciated. We have phones, a list and a very simple script for you to call with.

The importance of turning out the vote here in South Carolina can not be expressed in words.  Identify everyone you can and e-mail us back the data you compile before Friday night.  Our message is popular and is still spreading; over 50,000 thousand people in Michigan came out for the cause of liberty.  Please, aid us in once again making South Carolina the major turning point and help us get out the vote!

Turn out the Vote this Saturday

posted on 01/14/2008 at 10:22 pm EST

Hello upcountry South Carolina Paul Patriots. This is an exciting week for the Ron Paul Campaign, and especially for you, because you have a chance to cast your vote for the next President of the United States of America.
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Meghann Walker and I am the newest staff member to the Ron Paul office in Greenville, South Carolina. I had been working in the Ron Paul office in Des Moines, Iowa for the past 3 months, and I am excited now to be in South Carolina to help in any way I can to turn out the vote for Ron Paul this Saturday, January 19th.
Since you are receiving this email, it means that you live in one of the counties that the Greenville office is coordinating.  There are a few ways you can help turn out the vote for Dr. Paul this Saturday, January 19th.
First off go to this link: https://voters.ronpaul2008.com/grassroots/
This is a tool that the official campaign just launched to help you make a difference at the local level, your neighborhood (or precinct).

By signing up, you will have access to a map of your precinct and a list of all the registered voters in your precinct. The best way to turn out the vote on the local level is to give these people (your neighbors) a call. A calling script is available to download, but the easiest and simplest thing you can say to them is that you are their neighbor and why you are voting for Dr. Paul. You will be so surprised how effective this is, and how many more people YOU can get to vote for Dr. Paul this Saturday.

In addition we are going to have a conference call tomorrow night and Wednesday afternoon, to answer any questions you have:

Tuesday, January 15th: 8:00 PM (Eastern)
Wednesday, January 16th: 2:00 PM (Eastern)
All you have to do is call 1-800-611-6439
Your access code is: 2008#
If you have questions and cannot make any of these conference calls, please give me a call:

Meghann Walker
Office: 864-250-4382
Cell: 773-412-6631
Thanks for your dedication and all the time you have contributed to this campaign so far!
Sincerely,
Meghann Walker
