Wyoming County Conventions are Saturday, January 5th

NOTE:  Please call your County GOP to confirm the location and time of your County Convention!

The Wyoming County Conventions are on Saturday, January 5th. Delegates to the County Conventions shall be the members of the County Central Committee and those chosen by caucuses of the several precincts within each County. All Ron Paul supporters who are registered as a Republican in their County may also attend the Convention and support your delegate!

The delegates to a County Convention shall have, but not be limited to, the following powers: 1) To adopt or amend the Bylaws of the County Party, 2) To elect the Delegate and/or Alternate to the Republican National Convention, and 3) To adopt National Resolutions and State Platform planks which shall be submitted to the State Convention.

The order of business at the County Republican Convention shall be: 1) Call to order by the County Chair, 2) Report by the Committees (Credentials, Bylaws, Platform, Resolutions, and Nominating), 3) Elections, 4) other business, 5) Adjournment.

REMEMBER: There are no proxies at County Convention! If a delegate is missing, an ALTERNATE MUST take his/her place!

IMPORTANT: If you are a registered Republican living in your County, you ARE ELIGIBLE to be a nominee for National Convention delegate/alternate. A person wanting to be a delegate/alternate may NOMINATE THEMSELVES or be nominated by a Convention delegate (see page 12 of the "Wyoming Republicans' Easy Guide to 2008 County Conventions). Please remember to bring your photo ID and Voter Registration card (if you don't have a VR card, you should still go) to the County Convention. Proof of residence and registration shall be either by the most recent County Clerk's registered voter list or by the signing of a sworn statement presented to the Caucus Chairman.
